Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to spearhead SATURN’s growth in the U.S. This is a senior-level, hunter-oriented role for a seasoned professional with deep industry expertise, an established network, and a proven track record of closing enterprise software deals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in independent, high-responsibility environments and can confidently engage technical and commercial stakeholders alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle for SATURN in the USA – from prospecting and lead generation through deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
- Leverage his/her existing industry contacts and book of business to accelerate pipeline growth and revenue.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, targeting utilities, IPPs, energy companies, financial institutions, banks, and other key verticals.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deeply understand SATURN capabilities and communicate its value in solving customer pain points.
- Conduct compelling product presentations, demos, and solution workshops tailored to customer needs.
- Maintain a high degree of market awareness – staying ahead of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
- Represent Abacus at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to strengthen the SATURN brand and generate qualified leads.
- Independently manage sales performance metrics to meet quarterly and annual targets.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of enterprise software sales experience, preferably in energy, financial services, trading, risk management, or data analytics.
- Familiarity with energy industry commercial software for generation management, ETRM, and risk analytics.
- Established experience with energy industry players including utilities, IPPs, banks, private equity firms, trading companies, state regulators, and ISOs.
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding annual quotas and targets.
- Deep understanding of US energy markets, trends, and knowledge of user needs for improved solutions in generation, trading, and risk analytics.
- Established industry network and proven ability to open doors with senior decision-makers.
- Technically adept, with the ability to understand and articulate complex software solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset; thrives with autonomy and limited direction.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
