Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Energy Analytics to serve as a subject matter expert to help users with SATURN analytics. This role requires deep expertise in generation modeling, trading, stochastic simulation, optimization, and risk analytics as well as resourcefulness, a grasp of complex data-intensive systems, and the ability to develop, maintain, and improve advanced optimization and simulation solutions.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintain and support energy risk management, optimization, stochastic simulation, and generation modeling.
  • Advise SATURN users on best practices to model generation, trades, risks, markets, loads, and portfolios.
  • Identify product roadmap to keep SATURN a leading-edge framework that addresses evolving business needs.
  • Act as a knowledge bridge between users and internal quantitative modeling and software engineering teams.
  • Translate client-supplied business requirements into detailed analytical specifications for the development team.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to SATURN users and help the sales team address technical questions.
  • Represent SATURN as a thought leader at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and publications.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of energy and commodity markets, including emerging needs for new solutions.

Qualifications 

  • 15+ years in enterprise software support, customer success, or technical consulting roles.
  • Proven track record developing data-intensive, generation, risk analytics, and trading platforms in energy.
  • Strong ability to translate technical functionality into detailed solution algorithms.
  • Experience collaborating with product support and software engineering teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail documenting customer requirements and managing tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with analytical thinking; thrives with autonomy and limited direction.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to document complex quantitative solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability overseeing the development, implementation, and refinement of advanced models.
  • Expertise in stochastic simulations, non-linear optimization, and complex constrained systems.
  • Self-motivated with analytical thinking; thrives with autonomy and limited direction. 
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field required; PhD degree a plus.
